Praia do Camilo

Praia do Camilo is world famous for its picturesque views, and it’s easy to see why! The beach itself is a small sandy beach, accessible by 200 wooden steps, so make sure you’re prepared to climb back up them after you’ve ventured down! 

The beach is located outside of Lagos, just south of Meia Praia,  less than a 10 minute drive, or about a 25 minute walk. Click the link to the right to get directions. There’s a restaurant on the cliffs above the beach with spectacular panoramic views.

The crystal clear waters found at Praia do Camilo make this location excellent for swimming. The bay sits sheltered from the prevailing winds making this an ideal location for children. The sandstone rock formations here are some of the best on this stretch of stunning coastline. Making this location great for snapping those perfect Instagram holiday pictures.

For those more adventurous holiday makers you can also visit the beach by stand up paddle board, canoe or on a boat trip. There are also a number of local activities that can be found nearby, including Sealife dolphin watching Lagos.
