Quinta Do Rei

Set in the natural beauty of the Costa Vicentina national park, covering over 74,000 hectares of rolling hills, marshland, picturesque cliffs, stunning caves and miles and miles of sandy beaches. This traditional Portuguese Quinta, meaning farmhouse, is a combination of modern home comforts and eco friendly features, allowing your getaway to let you really immerse yourself in the wonderful place we call home.

The space
This spacious three bedroom villa is the perfect place to relax and unwind, with beautiful landscaped gardens, and a plunge pool offering the perfect way to cool off in the hot summer.

The first bedroom is the master room, consisting of a large double bed, and ample space for a cot (which can be provided on request), and looks out over the lawn. The second bedroom is made up of three single beds, and also looks out over the lawned area to the side of the property. The third bedroom is made up of two single beds, and looks out over the patio and gardens.

The expansive living and dining area offers plenty of space, and should you choose to visit in our cooler months (Nov – Feb), there is a built in log burner for cosy evenings in front of the fire.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire villa, beautiful gardens, pool, and a small walled courtyard and utility room.

We want your stay with us to be as comfortable as possible – if you have any special requirements for your stay, do let us know, and we’ll do our best to help you.

We also like to take steps to make our home as eco friendly as possible, and for that reason, you will find the following amenities and features available at our property.
– All of our water comes from a well located on the property
– Refillable water bottles for drinking water, and instructions on where you can get these refilled
– Recycling bins, and a compost bin for food waste, which is then re-used on the farm
– Eco friendly detergents and cleaning products are used and provided, which are then refilled at a local store
– Energy efficient light bulbs throughout the property
– Reusable canvas shopping bags are available for guests
– Bamboo cutlery, plates, and cups, for use by children or around the pool
– A basket of home grown fruit and vegetables from our farm is also available on request
