Open door at one of Algarve’s best vineyards

We can certainly think of worse ways to spend your weekend than at Quinta dos Vales 44 hectare estate, sampling some of the regions finest wines. Having won more awards than any other winery in the region, with over 100 national and international medals and awards, this boutique vineyard has really blossomed into something special.

The open door event situated in the heart of the Western Algarve, has much more on offer than just wine. Founder Karl Heinz Stock has really turned his work into art, in more ways than one. If you’ve ever driven between Lagoa and Portimão on the national road, it’s hard not to notice the ‘larger than life’ sculptures looking over the grape vines, and these have become a tourist attraction in their own right.
